“Valve Job” is such a critical foundation for the overall foundation of the cylinder head. We spend countless hours researching the angles that benefit the stock ports maximum benefit. We spend time hand finishing under the seat on the intake side to grab those last few extra CFM in every valve job. Every head is then surfaced for flatness (up to .010” per the customers request) to ensure our MLS head gasket will seal as is should. Heads are thoroughly cleaned, inspected, valve seats are formed, valve faces renewed and assembled with high temperature Viton seals.

Stage 2 - $799

This is the service that has put XLXBhorsepower on the map, by far the ‘best bang for the buck’ for your everyday ride. Combine the above Stage 1 service and a premium .600” Beehive spring pack set to the cams spec your running. Bowl blending will extend down further beneath the seat in the critical areas, this wakes these S&S castings up!! S&S really has a nice port design in this casting, with a little work in the critical area’s it really shines. This additional work is simply correcting the core shift, no fault to S&S, they have provided an awesome platform. Stem protrusion and seat pressures will be tailored to your cam to ensure maximum longevity on your hot rod.

Exactly what the title says, when you’re building that large CI motor and want the results on the left side the scale this is your choice. We knock the original guides out of the way to ensure we have access to port every inch, where it counts in the port. Replaced with premium bronze guides sized to control that valve as it should be, new premium valves both intake (2.00”) and exhaust (1.610”) and a stout .650” Dual spring pack set to your cams needs (steel retainer).

Got a 124” crate motor? This is your pick with a 2.120” intake & 1.650” exhaust valve to grab every last CFM possible out of a 1.800 intake window. Highly recommend the intake manifold is ported and this is paired with the black S&S G or Super D carb / 62mm + TB be used for this option.
